About the department
The Clinical and Data Science (CDS) Global Business Service (GBS), Trial Data Management department was established in 2007. The Trial Data Management function at Bangalore consists of 6 departments and five in Denmark, we are responsible for ensuring data integrity and for the timely flow of data through the many systems we use for collecting clinical trial data, conforming to regulatory requirements and industry-standards. Trial Data Management delivers high quality data for further analysis and reporting and work with stakeholders across many functions, both within and outside Development and we are an essential part of clinical drug development in Novo Nordisk.
The Position
Responsible for all global data management activities related to the project specific therapeutic areas in Novo Nordisk when the Point of Contact Clinical Trial Data Manager is based in Bangalore. And you will together with your counterpart in Denmark, be responsible for the data management deliverables in the projects you are supporting and ensuring innovation in our daily processes and leading a team of highly dedicated experts within data management.
You will also set directions and manage team members in meeting the team and the department’s business goals according to NN Way. You are expected to engage and participate in new initiatives and ideas as part of global DM transformation
You will be responsible for motivating and securing competency development of the team members. Ensuring quality in the work, continuous improvements of the team and process development will be essential in the job. You will also be responsible for the department budget and you will work in close collaboration with the managers for the other Trial Data Management teams and with our stakeholders. You will support the department head in ensuring optimal resource and budget management for the department. You are also supposed to promote and ensure quality mind-set within the team and compliance to NN Quality management system with focus on continuous improvement. You will also develop, coach and support employees to achieve higher levels of professional competency for current and future roles and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree or comparable degree in any medicine, natural science, nursing, pharmacy, veterinary science, or clinical information management
- Minimum 7–9 years of clinical data management experience within the pharmaceutical area or equivalent.
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience in people management either from project or line management is required.
- Sound understanding of drug development, ICH GCP, clinical systems, knowledge of programming would be an added advantage.
- Experience in managing budget for department/ project is preferred.
- Experience in project management handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Extensive experience in collaboration across diverse professional groups in a global setting.
- Excellent networking, collaboration, negotiation skills and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive and analytical with a solution-oriented approach.
- Self-driven and capable of taking ownership of challenging and critical projects to meet the business goals.
